Grapemobile Bicycle Hire & Tours, of course! Do you arrange & pay for our Picnic Pack & other food purchases? No. However, we will provide all the information & assistance you need to make any necessary arrangements. Payments for food are made directly with the supplier at the time of purchase. Do you arrange freighting of our wine purchases? No. We just hire bikes. Arrangements concerning the freighting of wine, should be made at the winery where you have made your purchase.. What if I get a flat tyre? We provide complimentary roadside assistance in the vicinity of our designated trails. We would usually just replace your bike with another. How many wineries are close to you? Apart from our own winery, Pokolbin Brothers Wines, the next winery is 450 metres away and so on. Depending on the day of your visit, there are up to 8 boutique wineries available along our unique cycling trails. Do the wineries charge for tastings? Some do, some don’t. If required, we can point you in the right direction on that one! Do you deliver bikes? No, not any more. We base our decision on more than 29 years experience and our local knowledge of the best places to ride in the area. Apart from the guesswork involved in turning up with the right size and type of bike and helmet for the customer, most people come here for enjoyment and want to cycle around the smaller, quieter boutique style family-owned wineries of Central Pokolbin area, utilising our unique mostly off-road trails. That’s why the majority either drive themselves to our hire shop or utilise our bus pick-up/return option. Can some of us bring our own bikes? Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate the use of any bikes not provided by Grapemobile Bicycle Hire. This also extends to any private off-road trails & VIP Lanyard Pass systems we may have on offer. Will we see any Australian wildlife, like kangaroos? We’re pretty confident we can set you on the right path to at least see a kangaroo or two in the wild. Do I have to wear a helmet? Yes. Helmets are required to be worn by law. A helmet is included with your hire. I don’t have a car, what’s the best way to get to you from Sydney? Wherever you’re coming from, if you don’t have private transport, it’s best to contact us for advice first, or it could get very expensive for you. You can also find public transport options on our Find Us page. What if it’s pouring with rain when we’re due to start cycling, do we lose our deposit? We’re really not in the business of trying to keep deposits, happy customers have always been our best advertising! However, we reserve the right to decide. In other cancellation circumstances, we require at least 24 hrs notice. Cancellations may incur up to a $20.00pp administration charge. My friend can’t ride a bike. Can I carry my friend along on the back of a tandem, anyway? No. Where applicable, all participants must be capable of confidently cycling in a controlled and safe manner. |
